Healing Rest with Becky Thompson: Resting With God & Finding Peace

“If I can just get through this season, then I’ll experience rest.” If you’ve ever said or thought that statement, this episode has your name written all over it! Because healing rest— truly resting with God —is a gift for your present moment.
We all know the feeling of desperately needing to experience rest. My guest today challenges the common misconception that rest is something to be earned or found only on “the other side” of a finished task. And she leads us on her journey to finding peace with Jesus in the storm.
Episode #121: Healing Rest with Becky Thompson: Resting With God by Finding Peace with Jesus In the Storm
My guest today is Becky Thompson, a USA Today bestselling author. She is the founder of the Midnight Mom Devotional online community, a ministry gathering almost 2 million women in nightly prayer. Her ministry focuses on restoring peace to anxious mothers’ hearts, inviting women into an encounter with God’s presence, and teaching about the life-changing power of prayer. Through her ten published books, public speaking, and online courses, Becky connects women’s hearts to the hope found in Jesus alone. Becky resides in northwest Oklahoma (and no Wal-Mart in sight!) with her husband, Jared, and their three children.
Today we’re talking about the heart of her latest book, Healing Rest.
Listen in to part one of our conversation for practical, mindset-shifting truths on how to access God’s peace right now.
Xoxo,

P.S. Here are the takeaway questions mentioned in the episode. I pray you’ll take some time to answer them and then invite God to speak into the narrative!
- Why do I feel like I can only rest when the work is done?
- What burdens am I shouldering that God can actually carry?
- What am I waiting on in order to rest?
