How to Be Fearless
There are a lot of unknowns for us as women: in our homes, at work, with our health, and for those we love, to name a few. But God’s Word gives us hope and help as Jesus calls us to be fearless. In this episode of the UN-Perfect podcast, we’ll unpack three types of fear that prevent us from experiencing purpose, peace, and hope, along with some steps to take to become fearless women of God! (And listen in as I share my tale of trying to out-swim a stingray π³).
In episode #26 of the UN-Perfect Podcast, we delve into fear and its implications for our spiritual lives. Fear is not a one-size-fits-all package, and understanding its different aspects can help us live fearlessly. Interestingly, the Bible uses several different words for our one word, “fear.”
We unpack three types of fear
- timidity/cowardice (2 Timothy 1:5-8 and Matthew 25:14-30),
- fear of tomorrow (the unknowns and the knowns, the “what-ifs”), (Psalm 91), and
- fear of eternity (1 John 4:18 (with Matthew 14:26 & John 20:19) and Matthew 10:28
Be Fearless… Next Steps
In this episode, we talk about action steps to disrupt each of these types of fear. They encompass relying on God and not ourselves, knowing him personally and intimately so we more fully trust his heart and his ways, and living daily in his presence.
Even when our deliverance doesnβt look the way we thought it would – He is still protecting us. Sometimes, deliverance comes through a crown of thorns and a cross, not just a healing or a miracle. We want to be so tightly resting under his feathers that We’re no longer fearful of which route he chooses.
