It’s easy for me to become bored, complacent, or dissatisfied with repetitive actions in my daily life. I know not every moment in the Word of God is going to “feel” like a party or a revival, but I have to be proactive to approach it in different ways.

My God didn’t always work in the same way in Scripture. Sometimes, he spoke through a prophet or a priest. Other times, he spoke through a donkey, a child, or even an unbeliever. He is a God of creativity, diversity, and complexity. I find that just changing the way I read the Bible helps me gain fresh perspectives on applying His constant Word to my ever-changing life.
